Hi,

Just thought I'd pass this on. I bought an electric 2 ton scissor jack off ebay and to my supprise I'm quite impressed with it. It'll fit under a 12cm sill so is no problem for a standard Z. I still haven't got my Z back so can't say if it'll get under a lowered Z but I'm hoping it'll get under the front of the car. It rises to 35cm so had a side up in the air no probs (both wheels). Takes just over a minute to get from min to max and is remote control which is pretty cool :hyper:

I've asked if they can get any more if anyone is intrested :)

Excellent for an emergency roadside wheel change!!

But not if you have a flat battery as well?? :D

Do they do solar powered one's?? ;)

i got mine, all looks very nice,

i was reading the instruction manual, not something i usually do, there is a graph of max weight against height of jack.

it apears that when the jack is at a height of 12cm (my sills jack point being 12cm off the floor) it's lifting capacity is zero. at the point where it starts to lift my wheel of the ground its capacity is still well under 500kg

it also states " overloading is forbidden"......seems to lift the car ok though :)

.

I just told my sister about this as she finds it hard using the old style oem car jack! She came back with " does it work off your car battery or is it mains only"???? My family kill me :D
