Anyone done this, I have read some old threads that say series one cars have the mounts in the pillar and the seat belts can be moved?

Featured Replies

It can be done, but it isn't easy by any means.

The problem is in the welded in thread for the upper mounting position.... it simply isn't there!!

The other threads are all there, but for some unknown reason Nissan decided not to bother placing a thread in the hole.

So what you have to do is, somehow, hold a nut up the inside of the 'B' pillar and weld it in place! Not impossible, but then also NOT recommended due to this is a safety/life saving point!
