I have had a good chat with Leon at Alunox about a group buy on stainless custom exhausts for swb and lwb.

These exhausts would be made to a very high spec to include, sound to owners spec, removable baffles form quite to loud.

You can have a choice of Twin Exit or Single Exit. Prices on the twins to follow shortly but they will be a fair bit cheaper than the single exit.

Single Exit :

£670 individual price

£580 for 5 or more

£540 for 10 (may be a tiny bit less but will confirm)

A few lucky people on the forum have had these exhausts and will testify to their quality.

I would like to know who is interested either a maybe or a def, i will be posting up some pics of his work very shortly.

Thanks :hyper:

Sorry forgot to mention the single exit is 4" diameter and the twin will be 2.5" (you can also have any choice of tailpipe.

depending on price you can have what you want.

I thought that was the rule with anything in life :D

A few pics for you to show the quality, as for the performance gains it is the usual with exhausts more flow/breathing = more power (roughly lol)

Had the rear section done by Leon last year, sounds brilliant. Just had the X pipes fitted 2 weeks ago and hopefully getting down pipes done in a week or so. Superb qaulity and workmanship from Leon.

Hi James,

Any news on the diameter, and are the prices quoted above, for a complete system not balanced, or a H pipe as standard and an x pipe as extra?

He usually does the X pipes and Cat back systemsin 2.5" as the 3" systems resonate and most people want to comit Harry Carry after 30 miles on a motorway..

I may be interested in a twin exit (single each side) but would like the tail pipe the same size as the ones i have of 3 3/4 inch internal size if thats possible

Hi Topless, The prices are for the back section only, it is extra for the x pipe, and also it is 2.5 external diameter, he has assured me that this is the best setup for our cars up to 700bhp.

Thanks

Lol they are my exhausts with me in the background with my GT28Rs fitted :nana2: :nana2:

No 2.5 external is ok for the stock turbos, 3 inch is best for anything bigger!

is that a def marco ?

100% def James. I just put new decats on so I must have a cat back for a N/A SWB. May consider the X pipe if the price is right (and I have the money).

James, I hope you don't mind but I just thought I'd put a post up for those that don't know the quality of Leon's work as I think setting up a group buy would be a great thing for club members. :)

Leon is making up the manifolds for mine and John's Nissan V8 conversions (not to mention a load of other fabricating!) and to be absolutely honest, we wouldn't want anyone else to do them. The work involved is not only incredibly difficult but requires a level of craftsmanship that most people these days don't have.

Speaking of manifolds, below are a couple of shots of his last manifold project (a work of art in itself!): a Chevron historic racecar running a 900bhp American V8. He was also sorting a new exhaust system for it. It's made in 321 stainless which is a bugger to work with and apparently there are 200 hours work in them!! I've included an internal view of collectors: notice the peak to ensure minimal flow disturbance as the streams join, very few people will go to those lengths.

Seriously guys, at the prices leon's offering on this group buy...bite his arm off! And on a side note regarding the single exit systems, speaking from personal experience, the exhaust note is absolutely unbelievable. I can guarantee that if you go for one you'll be totally bowled over by the sound (not to mention the look ;))...it really is phenomenal.

Leigh.

indeed sounds fookin lovely, had one on my old z

none of this powerflow shite, real mcoy exhausts

is the single exit from the catback or from the centre section back?

plus I'd want 4.5" if I was to go single...

still torn between 4.5" single or 3" B&B with 4.5" twin oval tips

You sure james, 4.5inch would end up like a pancake with the road humps round our way :D
