besides explain how banning smoking will decrease violence on pubs/clubs? there will be more aggro at the door, more fights in pubs clubs as everyone has nicotein withdraw :smash:

me and a mate went to our local Wetherspoons for curry night like we do every week, and I have to admit the air was really clear and pleasant, noticeable as soon as we strolled in. i dont mind a bit of 'pub atmosphere' but it was amazing how clean it was. wasnt quite as busy as normal, but that meant our curry was ready quicker :nana2:

Used to eat in the moon on the water in camden town over 5yrs ago and that was a non smoking pub, maybe certain pubs went live before others.

No, Weatherspoons never had an outright ban. They just wouldn't allow smoking in areas where food was being served. Infact that law has been about for 5+ years and applies to all establishments serving hot food.

the nightclubs near me are all on one site and they have erected fenced off PIG PENS in the car park. its hilarious. lashing down with rain friday night all the smokers in their pig pens with a doorman guarding it and not one would give up their fag. they would rather drown LOL. still , there was lots of girls in wet t,shirts which was nice.
