trying to get my engine out , now the harness that goes down the centre of the plenum which holds coil packs, and injectors i think.

i've unplugged the packs but having trouble with injectors if thats what they are. how do you get them off. do you simply pull them off?

NO! They dont simply pull off!

You have to prise out the metal retaining clip/spring first.

Bit of a PITA to get to.

thank you very much slick pete. there off now so i can crack on again.

When i did take them were brittle, actually majority of stuff under the engine bay was brittle. lol

cheers anyway

Try and grab a new wiring loom, it was the first part of my rebuild parts that I bought, saves a shed load of problems further down the line with dodgy and brittle conectors that like you driving your ZED in safety

Theres a few cars being broken so might be able to grab a decent one.

You can buy new injector and coil pack connector (from MJP). They come pre-wired and can be spliced into the existing wiring loom.

Word of advice if you're going down this route - try to splice into the existing wiring loom as far back as you can. From experience I know that most of the wiring over the engine tends to be in very poor condition after 15-17 years.
