I've just joined after having some serious cosmetic work done on my Zena (a re-spray!)...Oh, I expect it's a bit naff to give your car a name but I've had my zx so many years that I can't help it!

She is white, 1986 registered and I have another exactly the same which has been sitting in my garage for 4yrs.......through no fault of the car! I put it away in perfect running order but it's a long story!

Zena has, however, been used regularly and has never let me down.

I would like to go to some club meets etc. but as I'm a bit new to this club thing I don't want to just turn up and not know anyone.

Are you a friendly bunch or am I too unknowledgeable for you lot? I know nothing about mechanics or engines I just love zeds!

P.S.

Some of the pics of members cars are just awesome. My cars are just normal apart from Zena who has low profile alloys which make her lower to the ground which I like!

welcome, but is it a z32 (like mine) or is it a z31 (previous model) as this site really caters for the z32, not that you aint welcome though lol

Welcome to the club hon, i think we have another member on here who has a z31 (the one with the pop up lights) so you're more than welcome to join in the banter and feel free to come to the meets :)

We have a lot of meets with the zclub as well who have loads of z31 owners :)

:D welcome to the club BikerBabe, more the merrier :D

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the response. Yep! it's a z31. I actually prefer the old wedge shape although I'm sure the z32 is probably more advanced etc.

I've just returned to Cambridge from Derbyshire and the car was her usual silent and dependable self! I've had her for 19 yrs. and the other one for 7yrs.

Do you think that parts will become difficult to get? I've not had any real probs so far but then, luckily I've not needed much!

you should still be able to get parts. mate of mine has a short motor, tailgate, doors, complete rear axles with shafts, plus loads of other bits for one, the facelift version, not the first shape. been dry stored for going on 10 yrs.

where abouts in derbyshire was you ?

I was in Dronfield...... just near Sheffield but managed to keep away from the terrible floods. Hope you weren't affected too badly!

I have the one before the facelift>

umm. you should have joined while you was there. you could have come for a drink. my local is the pond ( royal oak ) in coal aston, thats where my mate lives with the parts as well. in fact, im off to the pub in 10min. :duffer:
