Following from my newbie thread. I was wondering what are the pro's and cons of having a Jap import TT 300ZX Targa which has been converted from Auto to Manual.

 

Is it something which should be avoided, or in some instances a better thing (more extra's, better ratio'd diff etc etc).

Diff ratio is the same, no extras were fitted on the autos. Its certainly not something to be avoided as long as the job is done properly.....

slightly better acceleration and slightly less top end, due to slightly smaller auto turbo's

Did the early Fairlady's (1991-1993) come as twin turbo in auto form with targa?

yep

the 200sx has diff diff ratio's so you notice quicker acceleration

 

auto turbo's on the 300zx are slightly smaller to give quicker spool up, although you wont really notice

 

the auto cams are slightly differant profile, but again i doubt you would notice much
