The MOT is due at the end of the week.Is there any specific things/weak spots on the zed that could do with checking ?It's a jap LWB tt so rust is not an issue. :D

hicas arms/joints

perished steering rack gators

steering rack UJ (excessive play)

inside tyre wear

rust/corrosion

brake discs

corroded brake pipes

check fog light works, as alot of imports have dodgy wireing

seat belt retraction

 

 

other than that check usual MOT items ie wiper blades/fluids/bulbs

It's only been in the country a year (and garaged) so it's like new underneath and not rotten as a carrot with paper mache sills like uk models heh heh :D

Its nothing to do with UK models with the sills unforts. Its caused by good old nissan using steel pipes on the targa drains inside the sills which rot through, causing water to be dumped inside. The sills therefore rot from the inside out....

That's this winters job,already got the stuff and that probe thingy for getting down the sills.Just want to get the bloody thing on the road, not driven it for 6 months now.I'm nearly there. :D

Last time mine failed on sills, corroded petrol tank and one worn hicas joint. All pretty common stuff on Zeds
