i cant comment as i refuse to vote. only based on the fact that i dont believe there is anyone worthy of me getting off my ass to vote !

Everyone will have pros and cons, just seems like all political leaders these days are only interested in self promotion and pleasing the majority rather than standing up for what is right. If you do stand up you get shot down, the only party worth voting for is one who comes up with a bullet proof vest on and stands their ground.

Im all for standing against all of the situations you say, i honestly cant think of any instances of genocide commited by the british or americans , but lets face it weve stood against one and the government gets slated for it , do you honestly think anyone wanting a career in government would have the balls to make that decision , to much crap from people worried about their sons and daughters .....reality check people , they signed up , they get the pay , they do the job , ( and dont tell me i dont know what I am talking about as I have served at the shitty end of the stick) if they didnt want to fire a gun they shouldnt of joined up.

How long can normal people stand around and claim that it is deplorable for these human indignities to be perpetrated and yet when people try to stop some of them these same people say that is deplorable , at some time in your life you have to realise that dictators really dont care what your placard says , thats why hes a dictator, in fact try preaching peacefully about human rights in dictaterships and see how long your life is.

Oh and its a democracy because there WILL be a election and you can get rid of him if you want.

Hey don't get me wrong. I am all for taking out the dictators of the world but as stated by others that wasn't the reason we went into Iraq if you believe what we were told at the time. My son has done 2 tours of Iraq as well and thankfully he returned home uninjured. If he had of been however I would not be bleating about it. I agree he is doing his job that he is paid to do and that he loves doing. I don't believe however that we should be going round the world trying to give people democracy. Democracy is something that you should stand up and fight for yourself. After all that is how we got it.

On a lighter note whats the weather gonna be like in penzance at the weekend. Am supposed to be coming down for the run to lands end but am a bit concerned that the rain will spoil it.

Darrell

If you note i never said we went to war for the right reason, I actually stated we went to war for the wrong reason , that still doesnt make it the wrong thing to do.

As for weather i think we will have plenty of it bud, cant rely on weather forcasts down here as there is too much damn coastline to make it reliable.

seems like all political leaders these days are only interested in pleasing the majority

Welcome to democracy ;)

Im glad Brown is in and Blair out, i know nothing about him, and i feel it should have been a public vote, i will give anyone the chance to prove themselves before i get on my high horse, and good luck to him!!

im not sure of what to make of Brown yet. i think he's a stronger person, and he doesnt look like a grinning clown like his predecessor. nor will he be a lapdog for the likes of Bush. hopefully he'll be a little tougher on things like crime and hopefully he'll put the public first and not crims/immigrants/scroungers/etc. first for a change

of course he'll tax us for breathing but we're used to things like that nowadays :headvswal

and have the priviledge to enjoy a fag whilst we are at it :wack: :x:

Sorry but in Queensland you can't even smoke within 10 metres of the door

The only way to do something about it all is vote the ****ers out next time around.

If we all send a letter to the Tories saying if they put David Davidson in charge we wil vote for them we should get a stronger more rightwing PM

You mean David Davis?

Surely you'd not want to see the tories back in power? Cameron will wreck the economy with his eco-warrior beliefs!

Goodbye you fooking lying, cheating, sanctimonious Tw@t

:duffer:

i always laugh when people say the economy is the strongest its ever been, when in fact the public is £8bn in debt - more so than ever in history. that's where the money's come from.

Plus the Labour government was lucky to inherit the strong economy from John Major back in 1997.

After the recession of the early '90s, the previous Tory government managed to pull the country back again - Gordon Brown, despite all his tax-grabbing faults  , just kept a steady hand on the rudder and (surprisingly for Labour) hasn't f*cked up the economy yet :D

Give him time......

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
