under the radio on my zed i just have a blank black plastic plate there,, any ideas what is ment to be there?

originaly it would have been a seperate radio and cd player hence the 2 slots

i think the original j spec was a double din radio

Yeh, was an optional Sound system, which includes a speaker in that location.

 

Most people fit a storage pocket there

If you have the BOSE centre speaker, you could utilise it as a separate speaker for a hands-free system!!

Yes but the item that Luke sells is a genuine Nissan part I believe.
