Hi,

Replacing a door mirror on my Z,the one I am replacing has heated mirrors but the shell has been glued where it is broken. The one I am replacing it with has no heated mirrors, can I transfer the guts so that it will heat up?

Also got to paint it Nissan Pearlescent white, anybody know where I can get a can of this from. Also what's the correct procedure for rubbing down and spraying this mirror, do I have to apply lacquer?

Cheers

Mark

Yes you can replace the guts, but you'll have to do some jiggery pokery with the wiring as more wires are used in the heated mirror, plus the plugs on the ends of the cables don't fit through the holes in the casing. I had to do this when I changed one of mine over.

Nissan can supply cans of paint sometimes (I know they do touchup pots), the colour code will be on the chassis no. plate. Alternatively, you could try Halfords. When spraying pearlescent colours I think that they always need to be lacquered.
