In my Z, the standard PSI gauge either reads way off the clock when the electrics + engine is off (past -14) or when electrics + engine is on it reads way above +14 (off the clock again)

 

But its also limited to 5K revs.

 

Any ideas why the gauge is being weird and why im limited?

Should be off the scale -14 when turned off, but when you put the ignition on its should be at 0 i think.

Yep as i thought, your guage must be getting a duff signal somewhere.

Is it anything to worry about?.......

What does it do when you start it?

 

Is it on 0 on tickover?

No, on idle its at off past +14.....

It should be at the opposite end on idle

So what problem do i need to sort then.......any ideas whats wrong?

First off id check all your vac pipes are connected, start at the balance bar and work from there.

Im good when it comes to engines........So i dont have a clue what you mean... :confused:
