Hi Guys,

I Have Finally Thrown In The Family Battle Bus For My New Baby A 92 N/a Manual 300zx, The Only Thing I Can Find Wrong With It Is The Heater Blows Full On Hot All The Time Even When The Aircon Is Switched On, Does Anyone Have Any Ideas?

Cheers

Sounds like one of the sensors is disconnected under the dash which causes exactly this problem.

Easiest one to check is on the plastic pipe that guides air to the door vents.

Take off the panel below the steering wheel and you might see a connector unplugged on the pipe.

If it's not that one there are a couple of others you could investigate in the online service manual here.

Hi. It sounds like the water regulating valve may be jammed. It's a bugger to see but deep behind the centre console you should find where the heater matrix pipes make their way through the bulkhead/firewall. On one of them lies a white valve which is controlled by a cable (similar to a choke or throttle cable.) The cable may have come off, or the motor which drives it might be defective.

One of the temperature sensors might also be defective, which could cause the computer to think that it's freezing cold inside the car! Check this out:-
