    some warm soapy water small detail scrubbing brush, use misses t towels=get killed in the process :(

    asda smooth cream cleaner, wet tea towels and an old hard toothbrush, did mine ages ago, but it didnt last long, doesnt clean the plenum though

    go to winkinsons buy there spray engine degreaser called GUNK for £2.49

    i di it this weekend on my girlfriends car engine and it was caked in oil. i cleaned it enough to paint it here is the result. the engine was looking worse than the gearbox does in the picture!!! :headvswal

     

    leave it on for the suggested time and use a small wire brush to agitate the worst areas. its quite satisfying once you get it done.

    downside it leaves the engine in a greasy film and everytime you touch it you get dirty hands :(

    Yes!

     

    I use Megs Endurance Gel on my tyres and that Autoglym on my engine, try it, it really is great stuff.
