stopped at a dealers today and had a good look around one of these,1989 and cant believe how primitive it was  mechancle fuel injection,255/50/16 wheels on the rear (same as a zed) allthough it was a very nice looking car is was when you get your nose in the crooks and crannys you can see a lot of late 80,s fiat and interior bits that you would,nt put in a kit car, also engine out jobbie to change the belts so all in all not very impressed except the looks  . but given its asking price its not a lot of £££ for a slice of history which ide happly give over £25,000 for it to sit in my garage and drool

heres a piccy of one but not the one i was looking at which can be found at a dealers in helsby in cheshire

really would like a 355 spider god they are gorgeous been looking at prices and damn it way out of my league, what about running costs, if its more than the zed then im screwed LOL!!

I've owned a 355 spider, Honda NSX and Porsche Boxter in quite quick succession quite a few years ago. The Honda ('96 targa) was a superb and comfortable GT car - did a trip from Dallas to Miami in it and came out the other end fresh as a daisy. The Boxter was crap apart from the lovely mechanical noise of the gear change. The 355 was a money pit but well worth it. Not as comfortable as the NSX, nowhere near as over-engineered as the Porsche but tons of fun! (built up quite a knicker collection in Puerto Banus) ;) I'd have another one any day but would only drive it at the weekend - not great for every day driving. By the way - before anyone asks - I owned these cars when I lived in Marbella (except the NSX which I owned when I lived in Maryland) and it was during my "rich" days as a next generation telecoms director of business development for a dot.com startup. God - those were the days ...
