Guys,

need serious help here, have just finished pressing in 2 new ball joints as the old one were knackered and now I can get the track rod back on because the ball joint keeps turning when I go to tighten the nut, any ideas????

Thanks in advance.

Well if you're brave you could put a bit of threadlock in there, but then it may never come apart again ! What I did was lubricate the thread so the nut did up very easily and then do it up fast with an air tool - to kinda surprise it into staying in place - it worked for me.

hmmm don't have an air tool unfortunately, could try the lube but I don't know if it would work as the spin so easily.

Not sure if this works as I am not sure with this part, but on a front wheel with the same prob I use a jack under the track rod to force it in and do it up then. Hope this is not rubbish

okay tried to use a clamp (which I think will work) on it but the nut seems to jam up, can I just check is the thread m10 x 1.25 pitch??????
