is it for hicas type. ie.. does it have the hicas cutouts for the hub to go on?

basically if you have cruise relocate it!

remove battery lead

remove centre pad on wheel

undo 17mm nut on centre of spindle shaft

leave on slightly and tap all round wheel with a clean rubber mallet so it shakes it off its spline without damaging the spline and your face!

get you aftermarket boss, if its a hicas type it should slot straight over the hicas hub/ring but making sure to keep it all centre so it does not effect hicas, wire your horn in, most you have to make up an extra earth feed- for the horn ring on the wheel, then attach existing wire on to new horn.

re do 17mm nut on to the boss and tighten around 40lb ft but check manual

recentre new wheel on to boss making sure its 100% true and fit horn cover with allen key bolts.

If your wheel is non hicas you either have to A/ remove hicas hub, and disable hicas or B/ using a dremmel tool cut out the notches in the boss so it will go over hub (did on mine thanks to steve-o, however not recomended

you would also need to use large penny washers to bring the boss away from the cowling plastics otherwise it fouls when you tighten centre nut.

very vague explanation, but if its the hicas boss it should be self explanatory

if you remove old wheel then look underneath you will see a hub ring with 2 fitting on one at 12o clock and 1 at 6 oclock on the back of the boss there will be 2 cutouts you will see then it sits on to the hub ring and control the hicas when wheel turns! should be simple enough mate :D
