Looks like the washing machine's knackered (rust coming off aqnd marking washing).

So we need get a new one...

Any advice?

Are washer/driers any good? The Mrs would like one but I wonder if they're expensive to run.

I don't know anything about any of them.

I have had a washer dryer and now have seperates.

Personally I think seperates are 1000 times better.

Dryer dries much quicker

You can do washing and drying at same time

If one breaks down you are not stuck without either

And I tumble dry everything and my electric bill is hardly any different tbh

Interesting.

From what I can work out from the figures in the Argos catalogue a washing machine uses (roughly) 10p of electricity to do a typical load.

And a drier(or washer drier doing drying) uses about 40p to do a typical load.

It's based on 1 unit of electricity = kWh which might be wrong!

You are getting a bit technical for me now. I just go by how much I pay a quarter for my leccy bill!! lol

I tumble dry everything too and my leccy bill is sky high.

As the tumble dryer is in the garage i think of it as more of a heater for the zed than a tumble drier!!!

But ive also got a fan heater for the zed when its really cold!!
