my 300ZX is the 3rd car ive had which is a turbo. on all the others there has been a noticable shove as the turbo's come in. even though my Z is a lot faster than anything else ive had i do feel that there should be a bit more oomph at say 3500rpm.

my Z is a stock import. is this normal.

Rick,

The 300ZX has two relatively small turbos so the kick won't be the same as in a single bigger turbo'd car - the idea Nissan had was to give something close to smooth delivery. If you're getting full boost then you're probably OK - best bet is to meet up with someone local with a standard car and get them to take you out to compare.

Or, even better, up that boost and feel the kick !

cheer's dave, i though that might be the case but i do miss the big kick. my last car was a Lancia, that thig pulled my arms off.

mods are on the way.

yup theres nothing like a 300zx boosting 1.3 bar the shove is awsome (but then the £3000.00 it cost me to fix after it went boom is not quite so nice lol)

Stock 300ZX's run on kittens breath boost pressure.

Start at 1bar and work your way up :-)

Be ready to spend though much past that.
