ive made a boost leak tester and will be testing it tomorrow, a few questions lol

 

do i test it with the car running or turned off?

 

how do i know if i have a leak, will i hear a hissing and how long does it take for a hiss?

 

does anyone have any pics of what i need to take off, i have an induction kit, do i take that off?

fasten your bld into where the afm goes.

then just pump upthe pressure not too much tho. then just listen for leaks of air hissin round the engine bay, Oh engine turn off mate hth's

undo the clamp taking care of the conector not to put it about to much, then put your home made adaptor in there fasten up and pump away, not too much pressure though 10 psi should be enough to find the leaks

so i unscrew that clamp circled, and lift the rubber tube beside it off and put my homemade thing in there, sorry for being dumb but im clueless when it comes to these things

If you think you can hear a leak (hissing) and can locate the general area, spray possible leak spots with WD40 and it should bubble nicely. Also cleans up nice afterwards.

Takes ages to get pressure up though so be patient
