Hey Guys

 

Recently I bought a 300zx two days ago. Its done just over 80k so I think I should book in a major service with cambelt change.

 

Could someone give me a rough quote on how much i should be paying for a major service and cambelt change, and if its cheaper to goto a Nissan Garage or find somewhere else?

 

Is there any specialists who deal in 300zx in the south of england as I think specialist tools are needed for a cambelt change that not every garage has.

 

Sorry for so many questions im new to this car.

Does he now, I might have to drop him a PM myself as I've been running up to zedworld for anything my "girl" needs :D Got no complaints about them but somewhere closer would be a Godsend, just from the petrol point of view.

 

Might also be worth contacting 'MadMarco' he's in Winchester, so he may know someone around that area.

Try Rob @ castle autos in north baddesley 02380 740 242, he did mine at a reasonable price, hes not a specialist, but he does love jap cars, and knows his way around a 300 (in fact I bought mine from his yard in september), no guarentees, but worth an ask.....

Hmmmmmm, I did wonder when I posted the comment, I reckon I've heard/read good and bad about nearly all mechanics, it's always a bit of a lottery so you've just got to bite the bullet and see how your 'chosen one' deals with you personally and I've no complaints and that's what matters in the end.

Cam belt change is a must at that mileage for piece of mind, better than a new engine and a lot cheaper.

i agree mate. had my cambelt done and was really impressed. they even took photos while they were doing it and sorted a few minor problems with the throttle bodies.

Agree that Z-Tech is your best bet. They know their stuff, good prices, and very helpfull.

I've had it done, car running awesome.

My friend owns a 300zx and wants to know where he could get a cambelt done near Southampton? I told him Zworld or Z-tech but he wants some where closer, and also how much should a cambelt cost?
