Here are some pics of my crank to show the mark i described on the big end bearing at the front of the crank.

there are 2 marks on the bearing journal and 1 nasty bite to the bit above one of the marks.

there are a few pics to show these from different angles.

hmmm doesnt look like a great job was done tbh, i dont think the small marks would effect it too much but its one of them isnt it, once its in if it does effect it them its an engine out job again :(

if it was me i would get another crank and get them to redo the work again

there is only one question to be asking and that is are you happy with the work carried out, personally I wouldnt be.If you arnt happy go back and give them a chance to sort it out and see what they say.

IMHO I think it would be OK, as long as the mark is not "proud" of the rest of the journal but if you took it in without this damage and they did do it, then they have to put it right. I would be upset too.

Nissan didnt make it like that and you have every right to expect a profesional job for the money, (however much it was). And its not a big end journal.

They told me it was purely cosmetic lol.

another thing is i paid another engine shop before them to machine all the journals to the size of the bearings, they were all nice and shiney.

After these guys had it they buggered it up after i paid someone else to make it nice n shiney and..... it's all rough, slightly glazed where it looks like they used emery cloth all way round to hide the marks.

Sorry mate but if you ask me looking at the pics those Main brg journals have not, repeat NOT, been machined.

Look at the pitting on the outside of the journal, its still visable.

Tell you what mate the air would be blue if that was my crank.
