I am thinking about ordering a front strut tower brace from www.procarparts.com, looks like the same as courtesey one but for $50!!

They do a few other bits for the Z, totally clear indicators and indiglo gauges, carbon fibre dash panels all fairly cheap. If anybody else wants to join in and share the postage and the duty (see if we can avoid it)then give me a shout!

Was it bad things I heard about Procarparts before ? Try a check on tt.net

 

I have a front strut brace that may have come from them (can't remember) and it doesn't fit, becuase it needs part of the underbonnet sound deadening removed. Also, remember that shipping from the US will be a kicker from something as heavy as a strut brace.

Yeah id be up for one aswell.

Hi,

 

Had a look on TT and it fits some cars perfectly, on some cars it can rub on the bonnet insulation, they think this might be if you have had a prang!

 

You might have to move the aircon bracket on a pipe, but compared to some of the other crap FSTB's out there and the cost I think I am gonna give it a go.

It is exactly the same model that courtesy sell and it does warn you of fitment idiosyncracies on the courtesey site.

Lymon has one fitted on his motor and recommends it.

I have enquired about the cost with mailing and it is $116.90 (not including duty), I presume this would come down in ratio to price per extra individual item.

They also do a nice set of completely clear side indicators which I am tempted on!

I am in New York once a month and LA every few months. I could bring back small things in my luggage if that helps anyone. If we could get a box of strut tower braces I could probably get them through.

 

Has anyone tried about converting your Speedo to 160 MPH? I was reading the Australian thread on the resistors on the speedo. The post makes sense and I am thinking about changing the resistors on my speedo to convert it from 120 to 160 or 180. There seem to be a lot of inexpensive US dial sets on Ebay so its probably going to be a better deal for us.

I'll take the risk with the 50 Buck one.

I work In Chelsea and live down the road from there, the bar you show on ebay is the bar from proparts for $50. I don't know how hard it is to put on but I don't think it would be Rocket Science. We will have to arrange a meet strut bars or not!

Just saw your bit about proparts auction, I don't know what their end price would be, but on their website it's $49. They also quoted me $116 all in for delivery to the UK, sneaky bastards are only quoting $29 on ebay for international customers! I will forward their email to you to qualify that!

Delivery is irrelevant though if there is any possibility of you sneaking this contraband back into the country!!!!
