Man this is a shock to read, not been on much over the weekend and only just noticed this, i feel so guilty as i've been wrapped up in my own selfish problems which are ridicules compared to the loss of a fellow member and a genuinly nice guy too.

My condolences to all his family, friends, and those who loved him.

R.I.P Bud have a safe journey to a better place. God bless.

Hi love

hard to come up with words that are appropriate, i personally never met Jay but the response and words penned by the members on here only go to show what an outsanding individual he was.

His memory will forever live on.

A little bit about jay for those who did'nt know him too well

One of the most endearing parts of Jay was his ability to live life to the full .,, he worked like a dog and partied with the best of em ,I know loads of people but i have never met anybody so genuine ; what you see is what you get type of guy.one of the first conversations with him back in 2001 when I got mi zed he was the first person to go out of his way to help me , even ended up him ordering me several hundred pounds worth of parts from usa and sent em to me before i had even paid him,,,, how many people would do that??? it took nearly 2 yrs before I met him in person but felt like I had known him all mi life .he will be a big loss to this club as well because he was very intelligent and made electronics look like childs play infact there was nothing he couldn't sus out, apart from why ZED's were a b***ard to work on lol chip burning/aem set up etc/rltc/ I could write on for ever with his capers but i suppose its one way for me to deal with his departing.. even now in heaven he'll be collecting cars ripping them to bits with mods.

the funeral is on thursday at 1 pm at the crematorium

Can someone who is involved/attending arrange flowers from us ? Club will reimburse obviously. Also, need to know what we should do with the donations collected.

im sure i speak for everyone by saying it will be a sad day and we will all be thinking of him, didnt really know him but i will take a moment on thursday to remember him from what i did know

same as what stellaz says. will be a sad day for the club. it would be nice to have had a zx300 wreath made up for him. not sure what others would have thought of the idea though.

Zena, really feel for you and his family.

such a sad loss.

such a sad loss and so young too. condolences to you and your family zena

I never knew him really. BUT its a sad day when a fellow member dies it kind of takes something away for us all. I will be thinking of all those that knew him and that will miss him the most.

R.I.P. mate.

I am in total shock at this news as i've not been on here for a while having lost my Grandfather last week and being in Ireland. That was far easier to accept as i he had lead a good long life.

I only met jay once a few weeks ago when i bought some parts off him and collected them in person on my way back from ZTech. I was with my Father at the time, and he even commented on what a nice young man Jay was. They had a little in common as contract engineers and were nattering about the subject and his tools in the garage etc whilst i was there. ( He had also hunted the garage high and low to retrieve two bolts that went with the strut brace i bought rather than let me go away empty handed and source my own!...A true Gent..)

All i can say is that i'm an excellent judge of character and in the short time i had communicated with him on the parts i bought, for directions to his house, and whilst i was there he was a truly genuine fellow, and i sensed a very helpful young man.

My thoughts at the moment go out to his family and partner Zena. I am thinking of you all.

Lol @ the ripping cars to bits, it's so true. I can imagine him being surrounded by every single car on the planet he wanted and taking them apart and still modding them :D

He was a great guy and it's the fun memories of how he was like this thats good to remember and will keep him alive :)
