Been following this on the various US forums, and have sumarised below.
This is the SPL 300zx owned and driven by Mike Kojima and Ryan Schimsk competing in the Redline time attack event at California speedway.
It got 2nd at the Modified Class, losing only by 0.2 seconds to a NSX Twin Turbo(!) with 650RWHP driven my Pro race driver.
It beat plenty of highly modified Impreza's, Evo's, 350z's, S2000's and porches.
Neither Mike or Ryan are pro drivers, and neither had been on the Califonia speedway track before.
