when the car starts and ticks over the needle on the standard turbo gauge is just below the first line does this show that the engine isnt in good condition as my last z was bearly above the -7??

Get an aftermarket gauge, stock ones are crap, on tick over i believe - 19to 21psi is good.

19 to 21 psi on idle???

-19 to 21 psi on idle???

sorry so does that mean that below the first white line after the -7 mark is bad???????????

If the needle does not sit far over to the left it indicates a Vacumn/boost leak.

However the stock gauge is famously innaccurate.

thanks
