1/2 litre of paint and the perspex strip for the back and thats it, it cost me £200 to get the holes filled in and the boot sprayed

Nick

i done mine myself, just pull it off with brute force it cost me about £80 in total including, paint, filler, perspex strip(£40 from nissan) and a couple of days labour if you are confident with painting then try it yourself otherwise a body sop is your only choice. I hope this helps

i wouldn't get them filled, i got mine welded.that way they wont crack out

been toying with the idea of welding mine up... but thought i might disort the boot!! To be fair, I'm not the best of welders though - so any tips I can pass on to a friend of mine I might convinve to have a crack for me?!

if ya dent the holes with a ball bearing so it makes a kind of bowl, get some fibre glass filler in from underneath, let it set and then use normal filler for the outside and bobs your uncle then its just a case of primer and paint :nana2:

That works, that's the way I did mine on the rear wiper.

but filler will sink with time - seen several where you can see it in the paint. Won't help opening and closing the boot either!

Depends on how long you leave it, it will if you do it to quick. I had time to let mine settle and it’s still looks ok a year on. You need to use good 2K primer filler.

nah dont worry about it like paul said if ya yake your time it'll be fine, sorry to hijack but are you going to the meet this sunday at teesside park paul
