Had a problem with a boost leak, after speaking with Paul@SWZ and using his boost leak detector (all afternoon) eventually cured the problem.

Hi dude, when you nail it listen for a gritty metalicy type noise... If it's doing this then your getting detenation and back off the throttle!!! If the engine noise is nice and smooth then your ok... If your not already, use V-Power to help prevent det and give you more power!! Hope all is good... ;)

Det sounds a lot like a tin can with small pebbles in it rattling around, when i went back to using normal unleaded I tried using high boost but got det so I am back on vpower, find somewhere with high walls either side of you then floor it and the det sound is more noticeable as the walls act as a amp chamber for the noise.

Thanx to you all for your advice. From what you say I dont think im detonating, is there any adverse efects of running at 1.2 bar (17ish PSI)

not if you have enough fuel to cope and the only real problem is the fact your gonna find it easier to get points on your licence LOL
