Looks and sounds like a good deal. It's probably an 'out of production' model hence the price, but then it's still got all the 'Bells 'n Whistles' on it :D

Its HD compatible but not HD ready. A proper HD ready tv needs to have a resolution of 1366x768 pixels or higher to be truely HD ready. With this being a 42" screen the picture will look grainy unless you sit a good 10 feet away.

Following your previous thread from the other week , someone posted this link http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/125933 and I bought the Relisys 42" LCD HDMI with Freeview for £649 . Ordered at 5pm on the Thursday , it arrived at 1pm friday . I`m well-pleased with it..and it`s gone down to £589 since then :slap:

Good luck , Mr David

Optoma Movietime HD DLP2 projector £549 (or less). Built in speakers and DVD player. Bargain of the decade.

You are better off going with the Samsung PS42Q97HD 42". This is HD ready and has much better res.

Dixons have it for around £799, but if you knwo someone who has a trade membership to costco, you should be able to pick one up for £620. Not the best 42" you can get but it's the best value for money one out there at the moment.

Actually, its 1024 * 768 to qualify for hidef and yeah it only standard def resolution..not bad for the money though

Ive got a no make 42" plasma and in all honesty the picture quality is better than both the Sony and the Samsung one i had!!

aint even standard def that one, PAL has 576 lines. Picture will be god awful on that i'd say.
