Changing over the stock T/T front bumper for an aftermarket one, as well as doing the timing belt, water pump etc.

So as the front end will be in bits anyways, was wondering this.

Would leaving off the underneath engine trays help in cooling at all ?

Maybe let the air flow around more, or are they better re-installed ?

Just a thought ? ;)

was thinking of doing same, got to be beneficial, just cover sump, was thinking small alloy plate or something similar, let us know how you get on.....

The main thing they do is channel air into the intercoolers, wont make much difference to the water etc, but nissan put them on for a reason

What about the big one behind and below the intercoolers ??

The one covering the sump etc ?

Would the air get taken in, pass through the intercooler and then channel through the bottom half of the engine, sump etc and pass out the rear of the engine, behind the saddle.

Would it not be more beneficial if that one was removed and allowed the air that was rushing past to actually hit the bottom half of the engine, sump etc ?
