A few weeks ago I discovered that a company called Metronet (London Underground) have taken over the former Midlands Railway Test Centre, where I previously worked for six years. They have a six year contract for testing new underground stock, that is too time and cost prohibitive actually on the underground, to be tested at the centre, with the addition of new track etc.

So on the off-chance i managed to find someones e-mail address and sent them my CV.

Well I've just had a phone call inviting me down to discuss the role, initially, of Construction Manager, and then to be site manager in charge of the centre!!

My CV must be better than I thought ;)

Well I'll go down with a totally open mind and see what they have to offer, you never know!!

Thanks peeps, Like I say, I'll see how things go, but it would be nice to be able to spend on Eliza again, as I'm always a bit short in this job.
