anyone ever built one? if so what was it like to do? what type of car did you make? (lotus 7/ac cobra replicas etc) my brothers and i are looking at doing one in the future and i'd just like to hear some experiences.

Just spent the last 6 months building this its a locost 7 kitcar using mark 2 escort parts been great fun, have a look on ebay for a cheap rolling chassie mate

 

that looks great fella. those lightweight cars look like sooooooo much fun. more of a summer/trackday thing but i can't wait to build my own.

they look great and they're fookin quick but pretty expensive. there's a westfield kit that uses a donor mx-5 that looks pretty cool. kit+donor car comes to about 8k all in.

I had this robin hood for appox 1 year.......... really good fun,when you are driving at 60mph it feels like your doing 160mph. I didn't build it but I did improve on the interior.........Most kits I looked at had very poor interiors, Bits of vinyl stapled on the dash ect.I was lucky my father in law is a coach trimmer so I had it retrimmed in grey leather and black suede.

I have never driven a car that can corner as well as this, you can turn corners at what ever speed you like!!!! I Think you would have to be a bit of a james blunt to turn one of these over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
