yep slick pete and i did and 400 mile trip yesterday!

 

combined with the shiney bits from mine it will be perrrrrfect

 

not much to do to the engine, bit of polishing, some downpipes and I'm there!

What do you mean by D/pipes mate?-aftermarket or stock?(trying to be helpfull not nosey!) :D

Yep, not a mark on it. Despite the fact that it had to be racheted down to hold it in the trailer. I have to say that Ed didnt whittle too much during the journey back. LOL!!

As said its all very nice n clean. Just got to get rid of that naff chrome look paint and polish it up instead. Probably gonna add one of my chrome balance bars too!! :cool: :cool:

Fitted these exact pipes today and I have to say : IMPRESSED!

 

They are bloody good for the price.

cool, heard nothing but good things about them!

 

heres my to do / things to remember list

 

 

Check cam belt / timing

 

Swap cam cover bolts

 

egr removal (blanks already fitted)

 

recirc removal, bumper off?

 

aircon removal, aircon pump and rad etc

 

swap coilpack and cam cover allen bolts

 

check and fit new gearbox

 

Swap almost new seals from old gearbox

 

swap rps clutch, richbrook line, uprated pivot ball, fit new spigot bearing

 

change downpipes and check turbos

 

swap over aftermarket oil pressure sender

 

ebay underdrive pully good enough?

 

fit new water pipes to heater matrix

 

swap insane oil cap

 

swap dip stick

 

fit engine

 

reconnect det sensor (remove resistor)

 

divorced downpipes + decats

 

polish plenuim + throttle bodies

 

chromed balance bar

 

more mt90 gearbox oil

 

millers engine oil

 

fit clutch booster

 

fit heater matrix

 

fit koyo rad

 

Make / get koyo rad brackets

 

Fit c/f fan shoud, keep old good fan

dont bother with ebay pullys bud

 

go unorthodox or sgp as they have the timing marks, and on top of that balanced,

the engine came with the ebay one on it, rodders ran it all ok but wondering if its worth changing it while its out, or leave it as some people have used em with no probs

I put a timing mark on the one thats on there using the oem pulley. Cant 100% be sure if its accuracy, but its damn close!

 

So thats pretty pointless then! lol

phew good to see it didnt fall off the stand when i stuck the shiny bits back on after looking at em! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:
