Yours is an import though isn't it Warren? How much are you paying now then?

I'd say you were lucky to even get insurance with them anyway, you must have been one of the lucky Import owners who got in before they stopped doing them?

Just got mine in!

a reasonable 932.40 quid.

Tesco was 1200 quid

Guys

Iam currently paying £1200 with F/C 7Years ncb, Got a quote from TESCOs on the NET for £630 Fully Comp. Try them you might be surprised. PS.. it makes a BIG difference if you have had any accidents thou, so dont tellem.

The reason TESCO are cheap at the moment is because they are new and are trying to get everyone’s business

timmy, i actualyl phoned them today and ive confused myself (we all know how easy that is lol)

It actually gone down lol by a 10ner a month DUOH.

I have to agree with you guys firebond are the best.

1200 ouch!

I got 9 points and 2 ncb.

Plus I'm only 24!!

Tesco where cheaper for me last year. But this year my unsurance only came down £50. I told them about my Exhaust and it went up to £1170. I phoned round and got it to £912 in mods.

Kerrrcchhhiiiinnnggg!

Mine was 338.69 squids with zorst, ECU and intake! So I rang Firebomb up to adjust for when mine comes out of Peters all wide arsed, Big fuck off wheels etc. etc.

So I'm really bricking it now thinking watch those hundreds pile on! Oh and reduced my annus mileage from 10K to 6K and bugger me.

400 squideroonies on the nose! Thankyou, I thankyou

That explains alot

Just re-insured with Firebond

Jap spec £290.85 protected Bonus and includes £13.85 for legal BARGAIN!

(6000 miles though)

I was luck to insure last year before they stopped covering imports and expected to get booted out at renewal this year but they said as long as there was continuation of policy (there was) they would continue to cover me. PHEW!!!

Eh? Macca mantioned something to me about this over the weekend! Well I told them about mine and they have been fine. How did you word it? Did you actually use the words "...it's chipped!" I think ECU Upgrade/Uprated might sneak it through. But like I said I have told them twice now about mine and they still quoted me! wink.gif

Hi guys

I've got a 1990 standard UK spec auto TT...fully comp is £334 through Aon Classic Policy (part of Royal & Sunalliance). I've even got the other half as a named driver (she doesn't drink....Winner!!) BUT I've got a limited annual mileage of 5k.

This also does not require me to use any of my max NCB - I can put all of this against my 'normal' (i'e sensible, boring) everyday transport.

A word of caution on 'not telling them' about accidents or mods. In the event of a claim your insurance will be invalidated.....we all know that they will do everything to resist a pay out....but ALL policies will at some point state that:

'If you do not tell us anything which is relevant, then your policy may not be valid and we may reject your claim'.

I know none of us ever wants to be in a position where we have to make a claim....but there are an awful lot of a*seholes out there.

Great site guys, look forward to meeting some of you when my motor is eventually put back together!! Six weeks so far....a bill of biblical proportions....
