I had a vectra once, it had traffic master.

Don't think theres a screen involved, it just gives you alerts

as to where traffic jams etc are.

You have to subscribe to it, hence mine never got used!

I'd be more worried about avoiding people seeing me in the damn thing than trying to use the traffic master ;)

I work for trafficmaster :(

Depends what you have in there, if its just the smartnav unit (black box) then you will just have a button that you can either press when and when you want to hear traffic updates for the road ahead.

If it has a screen then all it shows is the roads mapped out (badly) and bubbles showing speed delays and so on.

Have a look on their products page.

Ps: Personally, get rid of it and buy a tom tom as they buy all their traffic information of us anyway so youll have a decent screen and visuals with all the info from us. I didnt say this though and this message will self edit in 5mins.

Do you.......(sorry for the hi-jack :smash: )

I've probably spoken to you on a couple of occasions mate!!

I've got SmartNav fitted to most of my company's car fleet but Traffic Master are nearly always fekking up the subscriptions...

I've only just found out that each basic £120 sub only includes so many "calls" to the centre requesting routes (yes I know - I should read the agreement... ). However as I have around 10 subscriptions is it possible to "pool" them (they are all on DD now and expire at the same time) because some drivers use it a lot and others not such a lot. So rather than each driver having (say) 200 calls per driver, could I have the whole 2000 calls in one pot for all drivers to use them up?

Thanks for any advice....

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

It isnt me you talk to mate, im an on the road engineer.

Ive got a meeting with everyone in the offices tomorow so will try and ask for you. Ill give you a shout tomorow afternoon/evening.

Might be worth giving them a buzz and asking outright, as we use company vans we dont pay per call or a subscription but as far as i know they sell bundles/packages that your company could buy which "might" work out cheaper then all calls per driver if that makes sense?
