I can get the connect in my area and for £10 sounds a well good deal.

the router they bundle in looks identical to a Netgear one but branded up as sky and although it doesn't state. If it is the netgear one it should have a firewall.

there is a 40gb cap which should be ok and download speed of upto 8mb which i'm pretty close to the exchange so think i'll be able to get 6mb.

but... it don't list anything about contention ratio. Anyone know what this may be??

I am on sky broadband, 16mb for £10 per month not capped but has a fair usage police when you ask no-one can explain it though

The router is a netgear one.

Warning when my connection was lost due to a router fault which after day 2 I told them I was 99% sure it was at fault. I never got online for nearly 4 weeks, the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced!

Edited cos I submitted instead of clicking advanced. typo!

i think most ISP are as bad as each other, some are lucky and have a rock solid connection and good CS which is most important.

im with talktalk connection. has been ok now, but dont call CS £1.00 per min average 20mins do the math :(

alot of companys like sky/pipex etc have got to big for there own boots and forgot the customer.

i THINK as sky uses the bt line the contention ratio is based on the local exchange anyway, so shouldnt be worse/better than any other RELIABLE isp

i was thinking of going with sky as we have 2 sky hd boxes and 2 sky+ boxes

so thought may as well get something cheap from them lol

but i am currently using zen and the connection and customer service is 2nd to none, compared to the many i have used before so if it aint broke!!

we have 2 broadband connections, my lad has his own wireless for his online gaming and my wife also connects to his for her laptop, and mine runs up to 4 comps at once and its only a month contract

another son has just signed up with them and had to ring them to sort a couple of issues, and every time he rang them they talked him through the problems within minutes, so i would recommend them to anyone (zen that is)

for the price sky seems WELL worth it, so i would check out the many reviews online and yes it is a netgear router
