well i did a few miles over the bank holiday and used the time to calculate some motorway fuel consumption.

please correct me if i have messed this up but here goes

right i did

315 miles total inc work travelling

£50 of fuel @ 96p per litre

so i get that as 27.54 mpg on average.

the fuel lasted all weekend and took me to and from work for the rest of the week 6 mile each way. :duffer:

not bad for an old 3.0LITRE fuel eater is it lol.

TT?

Try running an XKR convertable (poXXXy Yank spell checker!!) around town, 12 on a good day!! But did get 23.8 when I took it down to London a couple of weeks ago! Nearly made it there & back on a tank-full (but only nearly)........

I really daren't even look at my fuel consumption over the weekend as I did quite abit of travelling

My calculations show 27.46 (rounded up to 2 decimal places)

im binning my subs if ur getting that to the gallon   :duffer:

Yep, there thirsty buggers around town and when your "playing" , but on a long motorway journey the cruising mpg is respectable. I've seen 32-34 mpg with the TT, and a bit less with the NA.

The first 2 weeks of ownership I was getting around 12mpg, now it's up to about 20mpg.... This is down to lots of carefull driving, staying off boost and avoiding anykind of incline..... Miss Daisy would be proud of my slow festidious driving....

It's only because I'm a cheapskate.... ;-)

I get 30mpg out of mine on a motorway cruise. 375 miles out of a tank

i get about 140-150 miles to a tank out of my jap tt manual (chipped) and around 160 in my uk auto tt, the manual is running really rich though need to get it seen to back of the car gets covered in black soot
