Whilst out the other day, the revs on my car increased with no apparent increase in speed. The clutch (full works) was replaced less than 15,000 miles ago so can't see how it has gone already. Tried the classic test of putting her on a slight incline and flooring it in fourth but everything seems OK. Just seems to do it now and again. Clutch pedal is right at the top so would indicate that she is on the way but maybe it just needs adjusting. Any ideas? Could it be anthing else?

well if you have no freeplay left in the pedal...then yep it probably needs adjusting.there is a pin and nut adjustment high up on the clutch pedal...be warned its a backbreaking fiddly job...might be worth while taking the drivers seat out for ease of access

does your car leave any oil on the floor when you park it up over night ?

there could be an issue with oil saturation on the clutch plate !

No oil on the floor. Guess I will have to try adjusting it and see how it goes.
