i was thinking about new but wouldn't the window have to come out, what a mission.

tyre dressing, mmm..... may have to give that ago. Is it easy to apply as if i'm messy it will go on my bodywork.

according to Mike F he thinks the lower U section is reasonably priced and can be fitted without taking the glass out. Top section is a glass out job. Mine's so old, it's shrunk - which is why I asked him the question in the first place!

Mine was exactly the same, used G6 rubbin compound on it, put a bit on a cloth and some water and scrub a little bit at a time, then rub off, left mine like new. :)

Mine is exactly the same. Courtesy do brand new OEM one at £40, (guessing £50-£60 delivered?). They are £71+vat+del (£90ish) in the UK.

I'm in the process of working out what trim to import and what to buy here. (roof strips/window mouldings etc)

I would like someone to confirm though they can be done with the window in!

Smithy got me my trims at a very good price, i also got the bits under the rear quarter glass which allot of people can't supply.

Farecla G6 Rubbing Compound is what he meant ;) Although i would go for a Lighter Grade myself.Just avoid the Compound that contains Ammonia if you wish to use this method.

Ebay link http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%2Fws%2F&fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=farecla&category0=

Or Purchase from a local Paint supplier ;)

Try this!! we used to use this in the Body Shop . This is neat so a small amount goes along way and it is water resistant ;) Looks Great and Smells good too!! :D This is not like the Usual cheap thinned out Aerosol Products you find in most high street shops. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VINYL-GEL-BUMPER-TYRE-TRIM-SHINE-VALETING-PRODUCT_W0QQitemZ300100517136QQihZ020QQcategoryZ72201QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

my trims are really bad they are also really rough and weathered, rub your hand along them and you prob get a bit of rubber come off lol ok not exactly that bad but you get the picture it's like someone attacked it with a scalpal blade.

Would that still do the job?

Dont think you can change the trims without taking window out. Looked at this last year. Nighmare comes to mind LOL
