was in my local 3 shop looking to see what phones are available as im due an upgrade soon, he said that on a couple of the newer nokias you can get tom tom 8 loaded onto the phone for about £20 (from a phone specialist local to me who i havnt had time to see yet) & add a GPS reciever for £30.

anyone have any more info on this?? seems very cheap option or is it a unlicenced D/L do you think??? (not that im that bothered LOL!)

just what i was told!!?

the nokia N95 has GPS on it, but it has just been released in the us so i think it might be a while before it's avaliable over here

You can put Tom Tom on most smartphones running Windows Mobile or Simbian (sp?) o/s.

I've got TT running on my Orange SPV. Works great.

TomTom site is only selling version 6 & the cheapest i could see for the TomTom software & GPS was about £100-£150.

You can pick up GPS receivers quite cheap however - its just the software that sounds very dodgy.
