Has anyone tried the 320mm discs from an EVO6 on a Z? I believe someone on here has adapted the calipers

Featured Replies

I think the way to go is to use the 350Z rotors and calipers if you can get them. Otherwise you can use 350Z rotors with Evo calipers and one hell of an adaptor bracket (still building mine).

I don't know of any body who has used the EVO rotors

The offset for the Evo disc is 'wrong' for the Zed by about 10.5mm.

The 350Z disc is still 'wrong' but only by 5mm. They are a better option because you can buy an adapter bracket from the States.

If you get one made up I'd like to see it 'cos I've already got 350Z discs+adapter and I recently got some Evo7 calipers.

The bracket is the problem part.

Cheers guys, I bid on some Brembos with rotors but got outbid in the dying seconds. I tried to snipe it by VNCing to a more reliable MAC in work but couldn't manage it in time - mainly due to a nagging bird LOL!

there was a guy on eBay Stateside that was selling brackets for the Evo/Brembo caliper, I keep looking to see if I can see them but to no avail!

If I do i'll post it up. :)

Oooo, very nice.

You making some?

Ha ha ...... that ONE took me 6 hours on a large Bridgeport mill. I'm using a higher tensile 40 mm plate and it's hard on the tools.

The owner of the machine shop came to give me a hand and destroyed a fancy $90.00 cutter in under 2 seconds because he thought I was being to soft in the way I did it and "showed me how". Result was a tool exploding into a million pieces around the workshop. Luckily it missed us all.

I'll fit it up this weekend to triple check my clearances, etc and will post construction details if you like.

At least it was him that broke it, not you!

Cheers, that will be very useful.
