I need the technical data that is required to upgrade my turbo's as a friend of mine rebuilds them at a good price and for him to upgrade them he needs the spec that I need. Ie 360 degree thrust bearing and adjustable actuators I believe the garrets are a t28 when upgraded.

if anybody can send me a spec sheets it would be appreciated and could benefit anybody else as well.

What Spec do you want - Im not sure even you know this bud.

 

T28's with 360 Thrust are a very big and slow to spool turbo - I would ask yourself how much HP you want and how important low to midrange torque to till you. 360 T28's dont hit +iv boost till about 5K !!!!

 

Let me know some more info and i will get the exact specs for you - If you want stock i can provide that also.

 

Bear in mind your friend will need to know the flange size Etc as well so you might need to get a set of stock turbos to him to work from!

thanks Nico, sorry about the typing error but I was confusing turbo's with another car I have been working on. what I need is the next stage mods for the turbo's for running about 400to450bhp as I'm converting my auto to manual and have the manual turbo's spare (and an complete engine)and was thinking of upgrading them whilst the box is off, my current auto turbo's (slightly smaller I believe)are pretty new and was told I need to upgrade to get near the mark on bhp. what do you suggest??

If you want that HP at the rear wheels the bets turbo configuration to run would probably be either T25 / T28 Garrets or TD04 Mitsubishi turbos - You will also want to upgrade the Bearings to 360 thrust on the garretts to handle any extra compressor surge from running higher boost !

 

Most compedent turbo shops can do the T25/T28 upgrade for you at a sensible price the TD04's come more costly as you can't upgrade your stock cores.
