Just installed this and completed all the preliminary stuff that the instructions told me to do (like copying nsfastky.ini to c:\windows etc), however when I try and open it I get a picture of the Nissan logo with a purple prgress bar. The progress bar gets about a third of the way along and the program hangs.

Any ideas?

It's the program that Nissan use to find part numbers ect. I've just discovered that it wasn't actually hanging, it just runs VERY slowly lol.

There are two versions, one very old that is basically a windows 3.1 application and one much newer that is Windows2000 with self installer etc. Sounds like you may have the old version.

what's the best way to tell the difference? I managed to speed it up by only selecting the 'European' CD in the setup screen.

Sounds like you have the old one.

Right Click the icon, and then Properties then to Compatibility. Click the Compatibility Mode check box, and open the drop down window, to see if one of the options is for Windows 2000. If not, then I'd say you've got the old version.

If this is the case, send me a PM bud ;)

Hmm, I do get Windows 2000 as an option. It was set at win95, I'm running XP, should I just leave it alone? lol. It's a lot quicker now I've changed the CD option.

In that case, it looks like the later version.

If it's running OK for now, best bet to leave it then
