Used to play that Stunt Racer for hours on an ST.

Stunt Car Racer - aye i spent many hours too trying to stay on the track while jumping over humps and stepping stones. im a member of an Atari forum (I took the 400/800/ST/STe route through my childhood and teen years) and a member of the GameBaseST project - over 3100 ST games available from the click of a mouse :)

I had all the Atari's myself :) 400, 800XL, STe then recently went mad and made this:

attachment.php?attachmentid=32174&stc=1

Made from an old arcade machine, PC, custom PCB's and control panel with trackball (Missile Command & Centipede etc), spinner (Asteroids & Arkanoid etc) and 4 joysticks for multi-player stuff (Gauntlet, Simpsons and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles etc) LOL.

I've added a light gun complete with recoil and reload actions for the shooting games but it's not working 100% accurate yet.

It runs an arcade interface that handles all the top emulators - Arcade, All Atari's, C64, Amiga, ZX Spectrum, PC Engine, Colecovision, Sega's, Nintendo's, Playstation etc etc

I've got over 6000 original arcade games on it and gradually installing the 32,000 other computer games I bought on DVD for the emulators LOL

Pic was just after I got it working so it's been more or less finished off and looks nicer now.

What a find. Just spent the last half hour playing a few games with a big smile plastered across my face. The games aren't so hot now but it's the memories that go with 'em...playing Ghostbusters again made me think of my nan (God bless her) who used to always fall asleep to the music as she found it relaxing when I was playing. Happy memories :)

C64....dont you mean Vic 20 with a RAM pack LOL. I remember saying that in the school yard to wind people up, the rivalry between computer owners back then LOL. Bottom of the food chain was the ZX81 and we used to think people were posh if they had a BBC micro although I never wanted one cos you couldnt get manic miner or jetpac for it

Wow thats freakin amazing! I'd make do with the Streetfighter 2 Championship edition (best arcade game ever!) but thats fantastic. When its done it really deserves a place on your 'big boys toys' pic.

Wow  thats some nice hardware there Chris!

i must admit I did get a SNES emulator too (plus 1000-odd games) off fleabay and enjoyed some of those.
