So close yet so far, having had all my panels retrimmed and having just refitted them went to put in my new front seats. I had to get some brackets made up to enable me use the original subframes as the 'universal' ones are about as useful as a choclate teapot.

Anyway, attached the brackets and successfully transplanted the original rails from the passenger seat to the new one, got it in the car... All ok snug fit :hyper: :D

Went to do the Drivers side... Completely different story, the mounting points are further apart - no problem i just modified the brackets BUT on removal of the original rails discovered that the motor and mechanisim is part of the original seat frame work :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal and although i might be able to get it all off, i can't see any way of being to transplant it onto my new seats :(

The only way i can see round it is if i can locate a set of manual rails (passenger or drivers side) but am struggling to find some - have tried Ricerocket and Andy Z is on holiday for another week :headvswal

Please help guys any other suggestions or help greatly received

James :(

I'm thinking how the f**k did you manage that

So went back and had another look and your right the forward / back motor is attached to the rails but what i was panicing about and looking at was the reclining motors and thinking how the hell am i going to transfer that lot! :mac1: :slap: Doing my usual thing of rushing and then panicing when not going as expected (as is always the way witha Zed!)

Thnaks again bud, you're a star for making me realising i'm a t**t :slap: and that i should really take more time ;)
