was gettin coolant system flushed, alot of brown thick gungy stuff was coming out if it, it cant be a head gasket, the oil dipstick is perfect, car temp gauge doesnt overheat, no lack of power, it was bein washed out with a pressure washer, can oil get into the coolant system without it bein a head gasket?

sealant was put in the coolant several months back which kept the coolant in decent shape

the green arrow is where most of the gunge is coming from

the 2 ticks is where the water seems to be getting clearner tho when it has a pressure washer in them

any ideas?

how long does it take to flush out the system

the pressure washer was used about 5times on each green marker (on the pic) and stuff was still coming out (was gettin cleaner each time)

sealant was added to the systym LOL never a good thing bud

brown gunk is normally through lack of coolant, only way is to remove radiator, flush it through until it runs clear! fit a hosepipe to the top inlet metal hose on engine and run car until up to temp, that way once thermostat opens it will then be circulating the engine and flushing most of it out!

Sealant is only used to seal not maintain, and only as a quick fix.

If you have a leak then the only way is to fix that leak by replacing damaged parts.

Sealant in a cooling system is like tyre foam, not a good idea.

Brown rusty sludge does tend to build up after a while, (like 15 years!), so a proper flush though is a good thing. Then put some decent antifreeze in with corrosion inhibitor and it should be fine for a few years more.
