I've been looking around for the best quote, and have come up with these........

Adrian Flux (who I'm with) quoted me a renewal of £619, but didn't add in a discount for being a member here, so reduced it down to £560

Carole Nash have quoted me at £438 (with included breakdown cover for the UK and Europe)

I'm a member of the RAC, so thought I'd give them a try, and they quoted £399!!!! But then my breakdown cover is on top.

So finally I gave Houghtons a try (as I used to be with them when it was my second car) they quoted a staggering £799!!!    Don't think I'll be using them! :D

Oh, I'm 40 later this month, SD&P, upto 10k per year.... Mr average really.

Give heritage a call...0845 3360660 Ask for Mark. I had a quote of £485, but I'm 31, have Zero NCB on the Zed, and have limited mileage...but they where by far the cheapest I came across as the Zed is essentially a classic car, so it falls under classic car ins. Adrian Flux wanted 2K from me initially dropping to 1300 if I transfered my NCB from my 206 Gti. I'm no mathmetician but even I know that 65% of 2000 isn't 700 quid.... NCB, not worth the paper it's printed on for discounts....

£360 fully comp with teh trimmings adn im the same age

Bell Direct. I'm 34 with only 3 years no claims. TT, all mods declared, 10k mileage allowance. £360.

try being 20 years old - 0 ncb - on a low wage (1500) tpft 600 x/s

best thing to do is have a ring round and go back to fluxs to see if they can have a look elsewhere or refer to a manager or somthing - they usally can sort it

I'd phone us back at Adrian Flux and see if we can compete with your best price, we may have sent you a renewal price match, in which case we should be able to beat your best price, but we may need proof.

Dan

When I first got my Zed, After trying to get a qoute at adrian flux and being forwarded to another company 2x by some women who I can only say refused to talk to me, after the 3rd time of phoning and having a go somone actualy decided to give me a qoute, it was 3k+ i beleive.

Suffice to say I wont be using adrian flux, even if they did give me the best qoute now.

I've had to move all mine around today because of getting the scorpio, ended up with footman james for £580 third party fire and theft after declaring the exhaust, filter and wheels (i figure i can plead innocence on the suspension and the engine bay lol) and got all the family on the scorpio for £450 quid fully comp under my dads name with his 6 years no claims so ended up costing me 110 quid for the year.

So for 690 quid i've got both cars insured which isn't too bad. The zed's limited to 4000 miles per year though :(

Adrian Flux were useless as always and quoted me well over a grand.

Never going back to them after losing 2/3 of a years premium in less than 4 weeks on a car! Truly rediculous!

Befor i sold the 300

My insurance was with BUDGET

Age : 28

Ncb : 5+ years

Price : £560.69

im with bell direct as they are normally the cheapest for me. ive just had my renewal in for this year and its the same as last year £590 which im not that happy with as it didnt go down. so i tryed some that you guys are with but they cant beat it so i tryed A PLAN as you suggested paul thompson and they came back with £337 WITH PROTECTED NO CLAIMS. im well chuffed. mind you that is on a standard n/a and im 30 with full no claims...but still excellent... thanks mr thompson.

Im with Swinton, pay £1317 for 3rd party 12 months

I'm 20 with 1 years NCB (no claims or bans)

Thats on a Twin Turbo Auto

20 driving round in a TT!!!

Damn I was still cruising in my 1.3 cavalier back then, oh those were the days

hehe, i worked hard for it bitch ;)

Had a Beemer 323i before that, that cost me 1870 to insure when i was 18.... so im used to silly numbers on insurance, but i dont smoke, dont drink alot and i live at home, pay a bit of bord. My money is Gordon Browns and my own!

Dan

Thanks for posting Dan, but considering I've already phoned and informed, the lady I spoke to, of my disgust at the cost of my insurance considering I'm virtually 40 (two weeks time) and in a (supposedly) reasonable post code (NG31), she said that she couldn't do any better on the quote. That is until I asked if the discount for being in this club had been added in, then we found out that it hadn't, hence the reduction down to £560 from £619. I can't see how you're going to match or even beat £399, if you couldn't before!!??

So on Friday I will be phoning yourselves, but to inform you that I'll not be renewing with you this year, but will be taking my business over to the RAC.

But, like I say, thanks for posting, it is appreciated.

Personally I wouldn't like the tone, but then it wasn't aimed at myself, that's for cav584 to answer.

I can't understand all these random quote prices. I am insured for £218.60 with Adrian Flux. That's fully comprehensive on a 1990 UK TT.

I'm 25 years old with 5 years no claims bonus and I keep my car garaged. The mileage is limited to a few thousand a year but my price seems way better than most people on here!

The guy who handled my quotation was great too. They have managed to lose proof of my immobiliser though but I'll forgive them at that price!

Just renewed with A-Plan @ £350 with all mods declared.

34yrs with a UK 1993 Manual TT

22 with 1 years no claims. £1100 fully comp. JDM 300zx TT manual swb slicktop.
