Yes, I have.

Quite a few years ago Stuart (SMW1) fabricated new metal frames in which I mounted Alpine 6x9's. All fitted well with the exception that I had to hammer the passenger side wheelarch down to make allowances for the speaker magnet. Driver side went without any "modifications" ;) I doubt you'll be able to modify the existing (6x4) metal frame to house 6x9's but making a custom frame up isn't that difficult.

Good luck.

Dan

I have Alpine 6x9 3way speekers in the doors, but the Lanzar 7x5 sway are far superior sound, clarity and volume and only about £15 more.

I've got some Lanzar coposite speekers and tweeters for the doors so I'll be selling my Alpine 6x9 3 ways.

As MarkZX said .. 5 x 7's fit with minimal modification and is a great improvement over the 4x6's .. i went slightly over the top and ripped the back seats out n shoved 4 15" subs in .. but thats another story ( to be shown) lol
