My first Z was an auto but now I have manual and it does some strange things, first off when I put my foot down there is like a whooshing sound comes through the heater vents. There is also a multi connecter under the passenger seat (what’s it for?). The cars had a few mods and it’s much quicker than the auto. Any ideas?

Cheers Paul

yep - mine has the unused connector too... the whooshing sound's probably coming from the gearstick... the rubber insulator comes loose and makes a whooshing noise (you'll probably find it changes according to what gear you're in?) and the space behind the radio will be acting like an amplifier making it sound like it's coming through the vents...

remove the trim round the gearstick and push it back in - there's a lip round it which clips on - obvious when you see it.

Connector is for a heated/electric passenger seat I think.

Mmmmm The strange whoosh seems to match the boost on the turbos, it’s gets more intense as the turbos boost more. It sounds cool but it didn’t do it on my auto.
