I understand that we should not have our Zeds MOT'd on the 'rolling road' because it might damage the LSD.

 

Is this actually likely to happen or is it only theoretical?

 

Is it a must that they take the car out with their decelerometer device or just preferable?

even if they put the rear axle on the rollers they wont get an accurate reading anyway. The only true way to do it is to run both rear wheels together and do a imbalance test and get the brake figures from that !

whether the LSD slips going round a corner or slips on a brake roller is neither here nor there.

 

i wouldnt sit with it slipping all day like, but the oil should keep it plenty cool for the duration of the test.
